Kristin Skarie is a highly regarded international speaker, author, educator and entrepreneur with a deep-rooted environmental consciousness. She is the founder of Teamworks, a company dedicated to the sustainable leadership and development of effective teams and collaboration. She has three decades of experience in higher education administration, organizational development and small business advancement. In addition to working with hundreds of universities, hospitals, and companies, Kristin serves as a Co-Lead Facilitator for the LeaderShape Institute, Vice-President of the American College Personnel Association Foundation and as a Volunteer with the Rochester (NY) City School District Pencil Partner Program. Kristin recently sailed as a student life staff member on the Summer 2014 Semester at Sea voyage and was a TEDx speaker in Helsinki, Finland. She is a recipient of several awards including the Diamond Honoree from ACPA-College Student Educators International and Distinguished Alumnae from Indiana University. Kristin's recent book, "A Year of Nothing New - Tools for Living Lean and Green," chronicles a year of conscious consumption and encourages a realignment of how you spend your money, your time and your energy. She is a regular guest on the morning news show, "Good Day Rochester" as a green living expert sharing Nothing New tips to streamline, declutter and organize your life for a bigger positive impact with a smaller ecological footprint. Kristin's Bachelor’s of Science in Physical Education is from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her Master’s of Science in Education in Higher Education and Student Affairs is from Indiana University-Bloomington.
